During his professional career Sahakian has participated in countless business transactions in industries as varied as advertising, biomed, biotech, chemical, computer, confectionery, construction, consulting, distribution, electronics, energy, entertainment, food, gaming, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, medical, real estate, retail, securities, software, and telecommunications.

Sahakian is a graduate of the John Marshall Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review and graduated with distinction. His undergraduate education included studies in both economics and data processing.
